St. Johns grew fast. Emergency dentistry didn't keep up.
St. Johns County tops the growth charts year after year, and the CR-210 corridor is where that growth actually lives: Shearwater trails, Aberdeen cul-de-sacs, the Beachwalk lagoon on a July Saturday. Families arrive for the A-rated schools and discover the fine print — services follow the rooftops by a few years. Pediatricians book out for months. And when a molar cracks at Sunday dinner, the nearest 'emergency dentist' search result turns out to be somebody's voicemail.
That gap is precisely the failure we designed against. Restoro opens in September 2026 a short drive down CR-210, at the corridor's eastern end near Nocatee, and runs 7am to 7pm every day of the week. There is no 'are you an established patient?' test — the check-in kiosk has a pain path, the queue re-orders around it, and an assistant is taking your history and a focused X-ray while other offices' phones would still be ringing.
Money stays boring on purpose. The emergency exam is $75 and folds into whatever treatment happens the same day; the X-ray is $35; both drop to $0 on a membership. If the answer is a filling or an extraction, you'll see the founding-schedule price in writing before we begin. One caution outranks all of this: bleeding that won't stop, or swelling that crowds breathing or swallowing, goes to 911 or the ER — not to any dentist.
Why this works from here
- Down CR-210 from Shearwater, Aberdeen and Beachwalk to the corridor's Nocatee end — one road, no interstate
- No established-patient requirement: in a county this new, the emergency is often how we meet
- 7am–7pm, all seven days — matched to school mornings and tournament weekends alike
Questions, answered plainly
We just moved to Shearwater and haven't chosen a dentist yet — will you see us for an emergency?
Yes, and you won't be the exception: half this corridor is new. There's no registration ritual before you're allowed to hurt. Walk in, check in, be seen. If you want to turn the emergency into a first checkup while you're here, the system can route that too.
My daughter chipped a tooth at the Beachwalk lagoon — how urgent is a chip?
Depends what the chip exposed. Pain to air or cold, a sharp edge shredding her tongue, or a pinkish dot in the middle of the break means come today. A tiny cosmetic flake can wait a day or two — but keep the fragment in milk and skip hard foods, because small chips have a way of getting bigger. Either way it's worth a look while we're open.
Can we get in before school — seen at 7 and out by 8?
That's the design spec, not a stretch goal. Doors open at 7am seven days a week, the average visit runs about 31 minutes, and the live wait is published so you can time the drive down CR-210. Aberdeen to drop-off, with a treated tooth in between, is a workable morning.
What if we're between insurance plans after the move?
Then you're the exact person a published fee schedule exists for. Exam $75, X-ray $35, temporary filling $150, simple extraction $195 — real numbers, no plan required. A membership ($39/month adult, $25 child, $29 for the Founding 500) makes exams and X-rays free and discounts the rest, which for most families beats waiting on open enrollment.
Jaw swelling and a fever — you or the ER?
Fever plus spreading facial swelling is the serious end of dental infection, and if swelling affects breathing or swallowing at all, that's 911 or the emergency room immediately, no debate. Swelling contained around one tooth without those signs belongs in a dental chair the same day — infections don't respect weekends, and neither do our hours.
